I take this opportunity to congratulate the organisers of the Birregurra
festival held last weekend: Rod Gray, coordinator, and the assistant
coordinators, Amanda Garner and Jacqueline Zakharia, along with all the other
volunteers who really have reason to feel proud in providing the wider community
of western Victoria with a fantastic event.
We were blessed with perfect weather, which was a great
backdrop to showcase local produce, and we were able to talk to local producers.
The festival had a real community feel, a quality for which Birregurra has
become renowned, and I, along with many others, look forward to attending the
11th festival in 2010.
