The Andrews Labor Government is helping the Koroit Irish Festival grow.
Member for Western Victoria, Gayle Tierney announced a $5000 Regional Events Fund grant today to help the popular festival attract more visitors to the region than ever before.
In its 21st year, the Koroit Irish Festival features live music, theatre and a Gaelic sports carnival. The Festival is a key date on the region’s events calendar, attracting 3000 people each year.
A highlight of the Festival is a Street Procession, where school children and locals march down the main street behind the 32 Irish county flags.
Our $20 million Regional Events Fund is helping rural and regional communities all over Victoria stage and secure the events that drive visitation and showcase the best of everything the regions offer.
Regional Victoria has something for everyone, and we want everyone to experience it for themselves. Our Wander Victoria tourism marketing campaign is showcasing the great treasures all over the state.
The Koroit Irish Festival runs from April 28 – 30.
