The Andrews Labor Government is putting families first by giving the Winchelsea community the great sport and recreation facilities it deserves.
Member for Western Victoria, Gayle Tierney today announced the Surf Coast Shire is set to benefit from the Labor Government’s Community Sports Infrastructure Fund by receiving a $75,000 grant for the Winchelsea Golf Club Sustainable Course Irrigation System Project.
The project provides for the installation of an automated irrigation system and high capacity pump station that will distribute recycled water sustainably, effectively and efficiently to all course tees, fairways and greens at the Winchelsea Golf Club.
Grassroots sports clubs are the lifeblood of our towns. They are where communities get together, locals embrace healthy and active lifestyles and kids enjoy special memories that stay with them for life.
Victoria is the sporting state, and it doesn’t happen by chance. We’re upgrading grassroots facilities all over the state, because it changes people’s lives for the better.
