The Apollo Bay Community has been ignored for a third straight year by the Napthine Government, which has again failed to deliver its election commitment to fund the Apollo Bay P-12 redevelopment.
Member for Western Victoria, Gayle Tierney has raised the issue on a number of occasions in the media and in Parliament after Polwarth MP Terry Mulder made a firm commitment in the lead up to the 2010 State Election.
“At the time the commitments were made by both Labor and Liberal, the Colac Herald directly quoted Mr Mulder as saying, ‘I will start at Apollo Bay in 2012 to 2013’.
“Today the Napthine Government has denied the school its promised funding for a third consecutive year.
“The Apollo Bay community have every right to feel cheated today, they have been patient, they have well and truly waited their turn and the Napthine Government has turned their back again.
“What has Terry Mulder MP got against students and families in Apollo Bay?” Ms Tierney said.
