The Allan Labor Government is getting on with providing families in Terang with world-class learning facilities.
Labor Member for Western Victoria, Gayle Tierney today visited Hampden Specialist School to officially open an $11.9 million project that includes new classrooms, a large multipurpose space, dining area, staff room, meeting rooms and an art room.
The upgrade also included landscaping and a bus shelter.
Hampden Specialist School is one of 39 Victorian state schools to benefit from Labor’s largest ever single investment of $388.8 million to upgrade specialist schools.
Ms Tierney also spent time at Terang College today to officially open their new library and learning hub, which includes a large open library space, four classrooms, seminar rooms and offices.
The new upgraded facilities were made possible thanks to an investment from the Victorian Government.
In the past 9 years, the Government has invested $14.9 billion in building new schools and more than 1,940 school upgrades.
This investment will ensure every child can get a great education, our schools can cater for Victoria’s growing population and that our government schools are better equipped to prepare students for the 21st century.
