My adjournment matter this evening is for the Minister for Energy and Resources, who is also the Minister for Industry, Ms D’Ambrosio.
My matter is in relation to the uncertainty in the renewable energy sector, particularly in the south-west of Victoria.
The action I seek is for the minister to join with me in the south-west of my electorate and sit down and hear the concerns of the renewable energy stakeholders in respect of the announcements made and the position taken by the Abbott government regarding the wind energy sector.
I would like the minister to be able to do this sooner rather than later, because we know that the Andrews government is supportive of the wind energy sector.
I ask the minister to outline how this government is supporting and promoting the wind energy sector in this state, in particular in Portland and the south-west of Western Victoria Region.
