SCHOOLS: TORQUAY

On another matter, I welcome the announcements made by the Minister for
Education, Bronwyn Pike, last Wednesday of a new primary school for Torquay
North and the extension of Torquay College from P-9 to P-12. This is an
extremely popular decision that has been embraced by the local community.
Parents on the school council, the member for South Barwon in the other place,
Michael Crutchfield, and the Surf Coast shire are to be congratulated for the
hard work that went into securing this fabulous announcement.
