Gayle Tierney MP today announced a $10,000 grant for the Torquay RSL Sub Branch to
commemorate, support and remember the service and sacrifice of our veterans.
Victorians are preparing to pay their respects on ANZAC Day, and the Andrews Labor
Government is working hard to give our servicemen and women the fitting tribute they deserve – and the support they need.
Gayle Tierney, Member for Western Victoria, said the grant would enable the Torquay
RSL Sub Branch to conduct the Annual ANZAC Dawn Service at Point Danger in Torquay with a focus on recognising Somme and the Western Front.
The Victorian Veterans Council Commemoration and Community Education Program
delivers projects that honour and commemorate the service and sacrifice of veterans, and educates Victorians about their contribution to the nation.
